Independent Vet Referral Service
Here at Snowy’s, we work closely with veterinary professionals to create the best treatment plans for our canine family. As part of building our treatments, we communicate not only with your personal veterinary practice but also with our own amazing referral orthopaedic vet, Andrei Uricaru – CertAVP MRCVS.
Andrei is very much part of the family here at Snowy’s. With Andrei, your pet’s orthopaedic needs are covered without the necessity for travel to a referral hospital. Conducting consultations at our centre offers significant benefits, especially for pets who may become distressed in clinical environments. In a more relaxed setting, Andrei can assess your dog in a calmer state. Additionally, our large outdoor paddock allows Andrei to observe your pet’s stance and movement at various gaits for a comprehensive evaluation.
If you believe your pet could benefit from a consultation, please contact us, and we’ll be happy to arrange an appointment at the centre. For those already receiving treatment with us, Andrei can provide additional advice and collaborate closely with our team to enhance your pet’s ongoing care.
Andrei Uricaru – CertAVP MRCVS
Andrei began his veterinary career in 2009 with a small animal internship in Manchester. Following the internship, he worked as a small animal vet, and by 2011, it became clear that surgery was his passion. Over the years, Andrei has worked across the UK as a surgically-focused vet, gaining extensive experience.
In 2014, Andrei moved to Kent as a small animal referral surgeon. His dedication to maintaining high standards of care has enabled him to accumulate vast experience in surgical and owner management. To remain at the forefront of veterinary orthopaedics, Andrei frequently attends specialist courses and conferences, including ECVS, ACVS, and ESVOT. Since 2017, he has held the CertAVP qualification, alongside other advanced credentials in Arthrex CUE, Biomedtrix THR, Kyon THR, and Kyon PAUL procedures.
In 2019, Andrei launched a peripatetic service to provide realistic and supportive advice for challenging cases. With three cats and two dogs of his own, Andrei deeply understands the emotional pressures of managing a pet’s surgical and treatment needs. He always prioritises the best interests of your pet and values collaboration, welcoming the opportunity to discuss any case with first-opinion veterinarians.
